City of Prineville Police Department is currently accepting applications for Full-time  9-1-1 Public Communication Officers.  Job consists of radio dispatching for police-fire-ambulance.  Position is computer oriented with related paper record keeping.  Successful applicant must be able to multi-task between phones and radio’s. Must be at least 18 years of age, possess a high school diploma or GED certificate, accurately touch type a minimum of 42 words per minute and be able to pass an extensive background. This is a full time position subject to working various day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays. Currently this position is a 12 hour shift. 

Compensation starts at $3,964/month at a 173.34 work month and includes employer provided health insurance, PERS retirement contributions and paid vacation/holidays.
